Jessica McKinney County Administrator
Thank you for taking the time to visit our county government website and this page. My objective as County Administrator is to lead the county in a manner that will reflect our responsibility, and responsiveness to the needs of the community. To use this vision and to ably assist the Board of County Commissioners of Brooks County, Georgia in achieving the goals for moving the county forward as we address present needs and plan for the future.
This cannot be accomplished without the help and participation of the community in which we serve. That means people like you. I welcome ideas, suggestions, or questions you might have about this site or any other aspect of Brooks County Government.
I am confident that working together, we can make a positive difference for Brooks County.
Sincerely,
Jessica McKinney
County Administrator

“I am extremely excited to be afforded such an incredible opportunity as work with the Brooks County Board of Commissioners and the citizens of Brooks County. The opportunities that lay before us to collaborate with a team of professionals and a community who is so deeply invested in the success and progression of our county is humbling. When my husband and I relocated here nearly two years ago, we chose Brooks County because it simply had all of the things we desired to enjoy our day-to-day and to start our family. Now that I have found my home, I am ready to fully commit and contribute to make it an even better place for all of us to feel so prideful for choosing to live here, work here, shop here, eat here, and simply be here!”
McKinney, originally from Toccoa, GA was raised in a military family and has traveled to many places throughout the country to find herself back in South Georgia. “I have lived in large cities and small towns and all have come packaged with their own uniqueness. I chose to return to the area because it made an impression on me when I resided here many years ago as a place where I truly felt as if I belonged. It has always felt like home here and I truly hope to help make it feel like home to many more.” Jessica is married to Jesse McKinney and together they have a 1 year old daughter, Lillian. Jesse is a Firefighter for the City of Quitman.
