Myra Exum District 4
Myra Exum is a long-life resident of Brooks County, GA. She has been married to her husband, Chris Exum, for 30 years and has three children, Jessica, Ashley, and Blake. Chris and Myra also have two grandsons. Myra currently serves on the Brooks County Board of Commissioners, a position she has held for 7 years, and has served as the board-elected Chair for 3 years.
Previously, Myra has served on numerous boards and committees for her community. She served as President for the Brooks County Educational Foundation, a board member for the Brooks County School System, and President of the PTA for North Brooks Elementary School. She has also served on the advisory board for the FFA program at Brooks County High School. Recently, Myra was nominated and won the Brooks County Chamber of Commerce award for the “Woman of the Year”.
Myra Exum has dedicated herself to public service and to the enrichment of Brooks County for her fellow citizens who call the community home. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, going to the beach & spending time with her grandchildren. Myra recently retired as a Comptroller from Griner Automotive Group, Inc. after 30 years in the automotive industry. She is now assisting her husband with the operations of their family farm.
