Willie Cody District 3

Commissioner Cody is the son of the Madaleen Spencer Cody and the late James Wesley Mosley. A lifelong resident of Brooks County, Mr. Cody is a graduate of Brooks County High School where he played football, ran track, and then furthered his education attending Valdosta Technical School. Mr. Cody and his wife Sandra are the proud parents of 5 adult children.

Mr. Cody attends Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Quitman, GA where he is actively involved in several missionary programs and presently is the Chairman of the Deacon Board.

Commissioner Cody was elected in 2009 to the Brooks County Board of Commissioners and is presently serving his third term. He is actively involved in several community programs that promote growth and improved lifestyles of all Brooks County citizens. Cody is humbled to have been elected to serve the citizens of Brooks County and is proud of the many accomplishments of the Board of Commissioners during his tenure. Commissioner Cody firmly believes, “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
