Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with O.C.G.A. 21-2-540, a special election shall be held in Brooks County ,Ga., to fill the vacancy in the office of Brooks County Board of Commissioners District 1 created by the resignations of the Honorable James Rhett Rowe.

The special election will be held on Nov 2nd , 2021.

Qualifying for placement on the November 2nd 2021 Special election shall be held from Monday, August 16, 2021 to Friday, August 20, 2021, (8:30 am to 4:30 pm each day) in the Brooks County Elections Office, located at 610 South Highland Road, Quitman, Ga. The

City of Quitman (Qualifying Fees $216.00)
Mayor, and 2 City Council seats (District 1, Post 1 and DIsctrict 2, Post 3)

City of Morven (Qualifying Fees)
Mayor ($168.00) and 2 City Council seats (at large) (Posts 1 & 2) ($109.00)
